About Amirmohammad Ebrahimi

I am a Ph.D. candidate in Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Florida, with a concentration in quantitative finance. I am advised by Prof. Hamed Amini. I expect to complete my Ph.D. in May 2027. I also hold an M.Sc. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Florida and a B.Sc. in Operations Research, with a minor in Applied Mathematics, from Sharif University of Technology.

My research lies at the intersection of operations management and quantitative finance. I study how firms and investors can make better decisions under uncertainty, with a focus on supply chain resilience, portfolio selection, and systemic risk. Using data-driven optimization and machine learning, I examine how financial distress propagates through supply chain networks, how targeted interventions can limit cascading losses, and how investors can construct portfolios when returns exhibit extreme outcomes. My goal is to connect rigorous analytical methods with practical decisions about risk and resource allocation.

You can find my publications and ongoing work on the Research page.
